Malton played very well on this seaside trip. Overlooked by the famous Bridlington Gasometer, the team were in inspired form. The line up was Sam Featherstone (1), Sam Coppack (2), Jack Riley (3) and Cameron Walker (4). All doubles matches were comfortably won. Brid's nominated player (Tom Hickson) claimed their only point with a singles win while Cameron and Jack won their singles matches well. Sam Featherstone was the nominated player for his consistently strong performance throughout.
Malton travelled to Pocklington to play their 4th match of the season. In scorching heat, which affected a couple of players, they won 7 sets to 1. The team consisted of Andrew Denton(1) Dann Harvey(2) Sam Featherstone(3) and Cameron Walker,Captain(4). Sam was named man of the match - well played.
Another win under the 'A' team's belt which was played on the grass courts in windy conditions. While the spectators compared goose bumps Andrew Denton(1), Dann Harvey(2), Sam Featherstone(3) and Jack Riley (4) beat Beverley and East Riding 6 sets to 2. Jack was named player of the match.
The Malton Junior 'A' team had another good win when they travelled to Driffield on the 16th May. Alex Carrie (1, C), Dann Harvey (2), Sam Featherstone (3) and Sam Coppack (4) all performing well as the away side took an emphatic victory, losing just 2 of the 8 matches, with captain Alex Carrie receiving Man Of The Match.
The Malton Junior 'A' team had a convincing win in their first match of the season against Bridlington 'A', played at home on Sunday 10th May. Andrew Denton(1)(Captain) and Dann Harvey(2) dropped just 2 games during their 4 matches. Tom Gentry(3) and Cameron Walker(4) also played exceptionally well with Cameron being named Man of the Match. Next week the team play away at Driffield Rec
